Guilford Awarded Lilac Capital of Maine Designation
As part of an ongoing beautification project the Guilford Economic and Development Board is organizing our second community wide lilac planting project. In 2009 we planted 66 lilacs in Guilford and in 2010 we'll plant an additional 11. This beautification project ties in with the downtown improvements and is designed to make Guilford a desirable place to do business. Another step in bringing people to town is to define for them who Guilford is…we are the lilac capital of Maine. All of this is part of a larger plan to market Guilford to the outside world and let them know who we are and why they should be here.
Celebrate with a Tribute Tree Gift
Honor a loved one; celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, a valentine, Mother’s Day or other holiday, the birth of a child, or any noteworthy occasion.
